M.S. Electrical Engineering
Our students learn from an internationally respected faculty, work with industry as well as clinical professionals on real-world projects, and develop the skills and expertise crucial for success in this competitive and rapidly changing environment. All tracks listed below are available for students pursuing M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering.
Speech, Language, and Interactive Systems Technology (SLIST)
Students in this track not only receive a thorough grounding in signal processing in speech technologies, natural language processing, machine learning, adaptive signal processing, and pattern recognition but can then apply their understanding to problems in biomedical engineering, speech systems, neural networks, or artificial intelligence.
Machine Learning and Adaptive Systems (MLAS)
Machine Learning and Adaptive Systems provides an interdisciplinary curriculum based on adaptive signal processing, statistical pattern recognition, time series analysis and prediction. Students gain experience in real world applications such as signal processing, image processing, video processing and computer and human vision.
Computer Engineering and Design (CED)
This track, taught by real world industry experts, provides career-focused instruction in the design of computer hardware circuits and systems. Conveniently located, and scheduled with working professionals in mind, courses are oriented around silicon design--from circuit to register-transfer level--and the implementation of general and special purpose hardware.
